Bentonite Clay
Finished - call Simon at Sustainable Outdoors on 0422 634 809 to arrange your own order
Purchase 20kg of bentonite clay for $18 - delivered to our 9 Seeds Site.
For those that have been to the 'Great Gardens' workshops, this is the 'kitty litter' they recommend but in a much more affordable bulk form.
Bentonite clay changes the physical structure of the soil so that it is not just sand particles with little water holding capacity. It fills gaps between the particles and attracts water towards it. Recommended rate is 3-5kg mixed in per square metre. The best thing is you only have to do it once (ever!) unlike water crystals or other wetting agents.
If we get 10 sales, we can get free delivery to site plus a free 20kg bag for the community garden!
Let Beck (0407 018 151) know ASAP if you'd like to order some.

Council PresentationA presentation was made to the Town of East Fremantle at the Council Meeting on Tuesday 3 August, requesting an area behind Sumpton Green and a portion of Locke Parke for our community garden. The Council were very supportive of the proposal but have said they need an extra two months to consider some legal and planning issues etc before a final decision is made. They have also requested we develop a Business Plan
